We may never fully understand the impact of the words we speak or the kindness we show. A simple word of encouragement can give someone the strength to keep going. A reminder of their worth can help them believe in themselves again. An act of compassion can inspire them to extend that same kindness to someone else.

What begins with one person can reach many others. The person we encourage today may go on to encourage their children, support a friend, inspire a colleague, or help someone who is struggling. In this way, a small act of love can create a ripple effect that continues for years to come.

That is why we must be intentional with our words. We have a choice: we can discourage or encourage, tear down or build up, spread negativity or speak life.

We do not need to do something extraordinary to make a difference. Sometimes, all it takes is noticing someone, listening to them, offering a kind word, or reminding them that they have not been forgotten.

Let us never underestimate what God can do through one willing heart and one small act of love.
