When we think about exercise, we sometimes imagine long workouts, gyms, running, or doing something difficult.
But movement doesnāt have to look like that.
Every movement counts.
Walking around the house, taking the stairs, stretching while watching TV, dancing to your favorite song, doing a few chair exercises, gardening, cleaning, or taking a short walk outsideāall of these get our bodies moving.
And thatās what matters.
Regular physical activity can support our heart and muscles, improve mobility, help with sleep and mood, and contribute to our overall health.
The important thing is to start where we are.
If five minutes is what we can manage today, letās do five minutes.
If 2,000 steps is where weāre starting, letās celebrate those 2,000 steps.
We donāt have to compare our movement with anyone elseās. Our age, fitness level, abilities, schedules, and starting points are all different.
The goal is simply to move a little more than we did before.
