Reflection

Chapter 19 challenges the belief that success, happiness, or fulfillment must follow a single approved path. This lie often shows up as rigid thinking — the idea that there is one correct timeline, one correct method, or one correct version of a meaningful life.

When we cling to this belief, we can become critical of ourselves and others. If our journey looks different from what we expected, we may assume we’ve failed. If someone else chooses a different approach, we may quietly judge it.

This chapter reminds us that growth is personal and deeply individual. What works for one person may not work for another. There are many paths to healing, achievement, family, leadership, and purpose. Flexibility allows space for creativity, adaptation, and resilience.

The reflection here invites humility and openness. When we release the need to follow a single script, we allow ourselves to pivot, evolve, and explore new possibilities. At its core, this chapter reassures us that there is no universal formula for becoming who we are meant to be.
